RI Works for Displaced and Stateless Women’s Rights Around the World

Violence against women is a problem in countries the world over. For years, Refugees International (RI) has been fighting for women’s rights in many countries including Kenya, Haiti, Sudan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Iraq and more. RI recognizes that drawing attention to violence suffered by women is essential for creating change, at the same time as advocating for improved policies to prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV). That is why we are helping to promote the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which runs from the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25 to International Human Rights Day on December 10. During the campaign, groups from around the world join together to speak out against GBV. Look through our photo report and follow our blog to learn more about RI’s work to support women’s rights.
