From the Field: Somalia

RI visited the Mohammed Moge IDP camp in Hargeisa, Somaliland in September 2012.
There are currently 1.36 million internally displaced people in Somalia. The reasons for the displacement in this region are varied. Many people have been living in settlements for the past twenty years. Others are more recently displaced -- forced to leave their homes during last year's drought and famine or to escape ongoing conflict.
